The AMCT announces a new multi-year grant to Hamlin Fistula UK

Hamlin Fistula UK is a registered UK charity dedicated to the treatment and prevention of childbirth injuries in Ethiopia, a country with one of the lowest ratios of professional obstetric care to population. 

The Hamlin model of care includes treatment, prevention and rehabilitation. This is now the gold standard for fistula patients worldwide. 

Funds from the AMCT will be used to:

- provide free surgeries for patients with fistula and other birth injuries;

- train midwives to prevent fistula and save lives of mothers and babies;

- care for recovering fistula patients through rehabiliation and education.
